Support to SADC aquaculture management, strategy, visibility, planning and project formulation
Advance Africa were appointed by the FAO’s Subregional office for Southern Africa (SFS) to support aquaculture management, strategy, visibility, planning and project formulation in the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
This assignment included the preparation of a Comprehensive Needs Assessment outlining a suite of high priority fisheries and aquaculture projects for implementation at a country and SADC regional level. Prioritised interventions were workshopped in collaboration with SADC and FAO prior to preparation of workplan and associated log frame. The project also included the development of a Monitoring Tool to evaluate progress on implementation at a country level of regional Best Practice Aquaculture Management Guidelines.
